My memories of Aunty Joan go back to my very earliest years when we used to visit the farm at Rouse Mill. With her lovely memorable smile, she was always so very warm and generous. That never changed; in 2015 when I visited her in Alstonville, her smile was as it had always been. But I also remember her telling me proudly how well she was still playing tennis. Her mind was so clear and strong!
My thoughts are with you all as you come together at this time to remember a wonderful woman.
